Private Commissions

I have been privileged to enjoy a diversity of private commissions from friends as well as art lovers, who have seen my work exhibited. If you like my style and have an idea in mind, let's discuss it and see if there is an alignment between what you're after and what I can create for you.

LIMITED YEARLY COMMISSIONS  - PLAN AHEAD!

Hi, my name is Annie Winchcombe...

Welcome! My work is a heartfelt response to the environment around me.  I am continually drawn to the natural world; the oceans, forests, landscape, energy and plants. Enjoying the complexity of layers, depth and mark-making, I strive to create interesting, suggestive surfaces that reflect this interconnectedness. I have been influenced by the exploration of natural pattern, colour, collage and stitch, including Australian Indigenous stories and marks.

Much of my work evolves through process rather than planning, where I explore mixed media, print, paint and stitch, allowing the mediums and tools to inform the process. Sometimes I am capturing a moment in time or an image of delight. My intent is to create artwork that evokes beauty through colour and marks, so you might experience the same connection to the natural world that I experience.

Here I am in my work space at Happs Wines & Commonage Pottery and Gallery. Come and visit me sometime, I'm there Monday afternoons and Thursdays.
